Chief Secretary SP Singh today directed officials concerned to make effective coordination for Independence Day celebrations at Golconda fort.
Addressing a video conference at the Secretariat today, the Chief Secretary discussed about the arrangements with the officials on the event. Singh directed that August 15 celebrations are conducted in a grand manner to showcase the development and welfare programs of the government. He wanted fool-proof arrangements made with tight security by deploying adequate police force. “The officials should see better seating arrangements are put in place as freedom fighters, students and people turn up to the event in a large numbers”, Singh said.
Seating arrangements should be done for VIPs, award winners, media and others in advance. Only two persons are allowed along with the award winner to the celebrations. Everyone should stand and salute the tricolor when national anthem is sung after flag hoisting. “Monitor and take necessary steps for smooth conduct of the Independence Day celebrations at Rani Mahal stage to unfurl tricolor and police rehearsals at main gate of the fort”, he told the officials.
