8,000 Residential teacher posts will be filled soon Kadiam
Deputy Chief Minister (Education) Kadiam Srihari today said 8,000 teacher posts will be filled in the Residential Institutions in a month. He said the poor, BC, SC and ST students will surpass others in sports and games by showing their performance by getting encouragement and support.
Launching the Inter-Society Sports League matches at Gachbowli stadium here today, the Deputy Chief Minister appreciated the State students for showing their best performance. Some 2,000 students from five Educational Societies are participating in the event being conducted on the lines of Asian Games, Olympic Games – 2018, he added.
Sirhari said some eight lakh students belonging to poor families of Minorities, SC, ST and BC studying in 546 Residential Schools, 475 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, 194 Model Schools are being given education on the lines of corporate and private schools.
“Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has hope that our students will excel if opportunity was given on time. The State government was spending Rs 1.02 lakh on every student to offer them better education in Gurukul Schools, he said and appealed to the students to make use of the facilities in the schools and get better results. “They must bring name to the State and the nation and fill lights in their families”, he said. The Deputy CM was impressed at the welcome parade by the students and offered Rs 10,000 award to the team.
“We are showing interest in providing quality education and encourage the students to participate in sports in villages, towns, districts and State level”, he said. Telangana Sports Authority Chairman Venkateshwara Reddy, Social Welfare department Residential School Secretary, R.S. Praveen Kumar and others were present.
