Sweets display at Kite Festival at Parade Grounds
Tourism & Culture Minister A Chandulal today said 3rdInternational Kite Festival will be conducted for three days on a grand note at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad from .
Releasing a wall-poster of kite festival along with MLA Srinivas Goud, Secretary B Venkatesham and others, Chandulal said simultaneously a “Sweet Festival” will be conducted in the grounds. Arrangements have been made for the mega program to mark Sankranthi Festival, the minister said. A wide variety of 1,000 sweets will be on display which is first of its kind in the world and they can be available at affordable prices, he said.
As many as 15 nations and 25 States will be participating in the International Kite Festival, Chandulal claimed. Some one lakh people are expected to visit the kite festival and they could purchase sweets in special stalls in the Parade Grounds.
Venkatesham said that Hyderabad has international recognition and the Kite and Sweets Festivals will be conducted at that level. Entire scene at the Parade Grounds will be looking like Mini India. Available in affordable prices the sweets being prepared by women of various nations and states will reflect traditions and cultures on the occasion he said. Venkatesham also said that about one lakh people throng the program every day and they will be allowed free to participate.
