CMO main culprit in Miyapur land scam: TTDP, to lodge complaint to PM, CBI
Alleging that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was extending support to the encroachers, TTDP leaders said that the Chief Secretary and Governor were cooperating with the Chief Minister in this regard. The TTDP alleged that the main culprit in Miyapur land scam was Chief Minister’s Office and said they will lodge a complaint with the CBI and Prime Minister on this issue.
Speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Thursday, TTDP president and working president L Ramana and A Revanth Reddy respectively alleged that the Chief Minister was extending his support to the culprits to water down Rs.15,000 crore worth case. The Chief Secretary and Governor were cooperating with the Chief Minister in this episode. They warned that they will not remain silent spectators and will go to Delhi to lodge a complaint with the CBI director and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ramana alleged that the land encroachments were increasing on par with the land prices sky-rocketing in Rangareddy district and Miypur land encroachment scam was pinnacle to land encroachments in the State. The culprits tried to loot Rs 180 crore from Metro Rail firm with fake registration documents, he said and alleged that the State government was making lower level employees as scapegoats leaving the main culprits as the scam came to light with the audit department.
Ramana said the Chief Secretary has not given time to meet him to explain the facts behind the scam. “The Chief Secretary has not even given appointment though we tried for three days. We submitted a memorandum to Chief Secretary by giving it in his office. But the Chief Secretary has not yet responded on the issue”, he said.
Ramana also said the TTDP tried to meet the Governor but the latter has not given appointment, he bemoaned and said the TTDP lodged a complaint with the Governor through online on Miyapur land scam. Ramana alleged that the main culprit in Miyapur land scam was Goldstone Prasad and his company Trinity Infra purchased a Benz car which was not seen these days in Chief Minister’s convoy after TTDP exposed the issue.
Ramana said nobody has taken care even though the TTDP asked the state government to take the CCTV footage from the areas of CM’s Office, Camp Office, Punjagutta Traffic Station, Namasthe Telangana offices. He alleged that the State government was trying to water down the Miyapur land scam case by handing over it to CID similar to Indiramma Houses, Bodhan Scam, Nayeem case. He alleged that the police were handcuffing the farmers leaving land encroachers. He demanded the state government to order CBI inquiry into the Miyapur land scam.
Revanth Reddy demanded the state government to clear whether whom were inquiring the Miyapur land scam. He said that the state government has informed Cyberabad police, who were dealing with the case, that the case has been handed over to CBCID. He alleged that the state government was not handing over the case to CBCID more so it was obstructing the Cyberabad police to see that they not to interrogate the case. He asked the state government, which was stating that 8 teams were searching to find Goldstone Prasad, to tell whether the police or CBCID officials were involved in the teams.
He said that Goldstone Prasad was a main culprit in this case and the Chief Minister’s office was stating that Rs.12,000 crore scam took place in Miyapur case but the same state government was not yet included Goldstone Prasad’s name in the FIR. He said that Parthasarathi, Sharma and Srinivasarao, who were being arrested in the case, filed a petition in the Supreme Court urging it direct the state government not take up interrogation against them. The state government has assigned the job of arguing the case to normal advocate instead of assigning the job to advocate general or additional advocate general or solicitor general. He alleged that the state government was trying to make weak arguments as was done in High Court to protect Goldstone Prasad from the case.
He alleged that the Chief Minister’s Office was not issuing any statement and Chief Minister too avoiding the issue. The governor, who supposed to protect the government lands following the Section 8 of Andhra Pradesh State Re-organisation Act, was not giving appointment in this regard. He alleged that the Chief Secretary, who was also acting as CCLA and CS, was not giving appointment in this regard. He asked the state government to tell about the number 8096677777 and its user as published in a Telugu daily newspaper. He warned that they will lodge a complaint with the CBI in case the government tries to protect the culprits. TTDP senior leaders A Narsa Reddy, Aravind Kumar Goud, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Ramavathi Laxman Naik and others participated in the press meet.
